At the recent 2006 Labrador
Retriever National, Dessi was selected in the final cut of the
Australian Bred class. There were 28 bitches shown in this class and the
judge,Mr David Craig, a breed specialist from UK, highlighted in his
critique that this was the best class of the show! |
Dessi qualified for South
Australia's 2006 Puppy of the Year competition and showed herself off
exceptionally well.
Destiny 'Dessi' has shown exceptionally well since beginning her show
career. She is outgoing and loves the show ring. The following critique
is by noted Labrador specialist judge, Marilyn Prior UK from Priorise
Kennels. Dessi was 3.5 months and her first show in Baby Puppy.

Lovely yellow, fantastic mover for one so young!
Super coat, excellent topline - what a show girl!

She achieved over 100
points before turning 12 months with her first Challenge (24pts) before
she turned 7 months.
Dessi has continued on her winning way gaining the final points needed
to add the title, Australian Champion, to her name at the 2006 Canberra
Royal Show.
She has been awarded
multiple Baby Puppy in Group, Puppy in Group, Puppy in Show and has she
has matured her winning way has continued with Best in Group and
multiple class in group and in show awards.
Dessi is a joy to show and we look forward to her continuing success
over the coming years along with her brother Aust Ch Kirkdell Endeavour,
who is now being successfully shown in India.
This brother and sister team are DNA PRA eye normal/clear (through
parentage).
Dessi
is now enjoying a new challenge! She shows all the signs of being a
natural tracker and successfully achieved the qualification leg of her
Tracking Champion title with an excellent display of tracking!

Congratulations to Aust Champion Kirkdell Deja Vu on winning the 2008
GUNDOG PUPPY OF THE YEAR (Gundog Club of SA). Deja continues to win
consistently when shown and will be lightly shown in 2009 making way for
our up and coming youngsters.
At the 5th Labrador Retriever National conducted in Western Australia in

Piper is proving herself to be a
consistent winner in the conformation ring. She is a true example of a
typical labrador with a stunning head, great otter tail and a wonderful

Pups from Piper's
first litter have done very well in the show ring. The brother and
sister team from this litter, Aust Ch Kirkdell Destiny and Aust Ch
Kirkdell Endeavour, are enjoying their time in the showring.
Piper’s second litter
is a repeat mating of Destiny and Endeavour and we look forward to
